Local Area

Open spaces:

The much-loved Royal Parks of Regents Park and Primrose Hill are both very close by and are surrounded by lovely boutique cafes. The parks boast stunning views of Central London, large open spaces with tree-lined pathways, formal gardens, and four children's playgrounds. They have excellent sports facilities and contain central London's largest outdoor sports area. Visit the Open Air Theatre and London Zoo, then take a stroll up Primrose Hill for excellent views of the London skyline. The park also provides a warm welcome for wildlife. It has a large wetland area and is home to around 100 species of wild bird and a breeding population of hedgehogs. Heading slightly further out to Hampstead Heath which encompasses 320 hectares of grassland - with bathing & boating ponds, fantastic walks and wonderful picnicking - at one of the highest points in London.

Recreation:

There are plenty of gyms in the neighbourhood, from the vast Swiss Cottage leisure centre to Virgin Active. There's even a Martial Arts Centre. If you prefer to be outdoors, situated on the northern edge of The Regent's Park, London Zoo houses a collection of 755 species of animals, making it one of the largest collections in the UK and the world's oldest scientific zoo. Also, why not head down to Hampstead Heath spanning 320 hectares of grassland - with bathing & boating ponds, fantastic walks and wonderful picnicking.

There are great local places to eat some of which are within a short walking distance. A small selection of these include, Carluccio's Italian café in the Regents Park Marriot hotel, L'Albufera authentic Spanish cuisine or the millennial preferred choice of Dirty Burger and Tinseltown.

This area is renowned for its many beautiful boutique cafés and patisseries. Galis, Coffee Cup and the hip Bonjour Brioche café to name but a few.

Other easily accessible suburbs such as Golders Green, Primrose hill, Belsize Park, Camden town, Regents Park and Marylebone also have a plethora of great restaurants to chose from.

Shopping:

Finchley Road is just around the corner and here, for immediate convenience as well as your weekly shop you'll find Waitrose and an M&S Simply Foods. Taking it up a level, for those in search of pure unaltered retail therapy, Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street are less than 3 miles away and only two tube stops away. For some unparalleled indoor shopping, London's Westfield Shepherds Bush has over 320 stores, over 5,000 brands and is under 20 minutes drive by car.

Transport:

Finchley Road is just around the corner. Luton and Heathrow airport are 40- 45 minutes away.

Tube: Swiss cottage is (Jubilee Line) under 5 minutes walk, taking just 7 minutes to West End and The City, 11 minutes to Westminster and 23 minutes to Canary Wharf. Heading in the other direction, West Hampstead and Wembley Park are just a few stops away.

Bus: Numerous buses stop nearby, including night routes, connecting with the most of Central London, the West End and North London
